Within her journey she also witnesses the consequences of war and the impact of the Middle East’s destiny on people’s faith. Azra faces her own reality in this very particular land where nothing is more important than waking up alive for a new day.
The Score
This project has a special place for Hasan as it was the first feature length picture that inspired him to take on board. The score was recorded in two steps in New York and Los Angeles. The instrumentation includes magnificent soloists combined with piano, strings and electronics.
The approach of the score was to reflect the journey of raw hopes and fears. It employs a subtle tonality throughout inviting the audience into this unique, beautiful and dangerous land.
